Applied to prevent back flow of operating medium in the nuclear station systems.
Gate valves refer to the elements of safety classes 2 or 3 in accordance with NP 306.2.141. Installation in the systems of safety class 4 is allowed.
Classification designation – 2НО, 3НО, 2НЗ, 3НЗ, 2НОЗ, 3НОЗ.
Gate valves refer to groups В or С in accordance with PN AE G-7-008, have category of seismic stability I, II relatively in accordance with PN AE G-5-006.
End connection – butt welded.
Valves can be equipped with signal devices of closure limit positions. (Fig. 2).
Sealing surface – corrosion resistant steel facing.
Operating medium:
I – water of repeated forced circulation circuit (hereinafter water RFCC), primary coolant, feed water, technical water, steam, condensate, overhead product, oil, nitrogen, radioactive gases;
II – boron solution (boron – max 16 g/l).
Valve control — automatic, by operating medium flow.
Medium flow direction – under valve plate.
Installation position:
– on horizontal pipelines – with a slope max 0,004, so that the plate axis is in horizontal plane above the pipeline axis;
– on vertical pipeline – inlet elbow down;
– on sloping pipeline – inlet elbow down with horizontal position of the plate axis.
Places for gate valve installation – in the premises being served (П), workshops (Б) and under covering (О) AC in accordance with Table 1.
