The ram preventer is intended for sealing the wellhead during drilling, lowering and lifting of tubing, and other well completion and repair operations.
Turning and reciprocating of the pipe column on the smooth part of the pipe along the length from coupling to coupling;
Unloading the pipe column onto rams and holding the column with rams from being ejected (when the pressure in the well increases).
