Throttle Valves (TV and RTV) are intended to regulate the operating mode of a well or a pipeline.
The TV parts, which regulate the flow rate of the well product (stem nozzle and nozzle bushings), are made of wear- and corrosion-resistant materials.
The RTV, unlike the ДР throttle, regulates the flowing medium by closing a piston across a series of holes evenly spaced along the generatrix and the diameter in a perforated cylinder (cage). The RTV is recommended for extremely high flow rates and pressure drops of the flowing medium. The RTV design allows for complete shutoff of the flowing medium through a dual (hard and elastomer) seal and smoothly regulates the flow rate of the fluid across the entire nominal bore range with a scale control.
